All Glories to Sri Guru and Sri Gauranga!.
Dear Sacisuta Nitai Das and Kuntipriya dd,

Please accept my blessings! All Glories to Srila Prabhupada!

Thank you for your letter.,

>
I offer you my obeisances on completion of my two years as a formal disciple. I hope you will bless us to progress fast on the path you have set us upon. I am not happy / satisfied with my progress in spiritual life. But do not know what to do either? I do not know if my schedule is to be blamed for it. I do get up at 4 AM. Complete my bath, offer Guru ashtakam, followed by reading the texts of two chapters of Bhagwatam . <

Thank you for your sincere service and sadhana. Do you also read the purports or just the texts? I presume and hope so. In a way I am glad you feel not yet fully satisfied in your spiritual life because there is so much to be< done for Srila Prabhupada and until we feel we are doing our maximum we will never feel satisfied. Of course we can never do our maximum because we are ever indebted to him.

But one thing I suggest is that in this age of Ipods you can also get one and have installed a complete set of Srila Prabhupadas spoken words and music including his bhajans, lectures, conversations, arrival addresses and morning walks etcetera. This hearing of Prabhupada's voice is always enlivening many devotees including myself. Just to regularly hear the spontaneous energy, brilliance and devotion of Srila Prabhupada is a life's new experience. It is is sound incarnation. Hari Sauri Prabhu has a complete Prabhupada installation. Others must also have. You can also have many lectures on your mobile phone and tune in any time at work you have a lull. I may have given you diksa but our pre-eminent siksa guru is of course Srila Prabhupada not me. He is still fully living in his instructions. You must take advantage of them and become his emissary..

> This is followed by one reading of Shri Brahma Samhita. After an hour that  -I take for morning walk - my Japa is also over by 8:30. I offer Arati at  about 9:00 AM. And am ready for my work place at 09:45. Evenings I am  free. Over past 2-3 months I have almost memorized Brahma Samhita - I feel. This is an advantage. Kindly advise me if some changes are necessary.<

It sounds a good sadhana. I hope you have memorised the Brahma Samita English translations also? But you say you have spare time too . I have some important service which will also inspire you in your personal studies, realisations and preaching to others. Probably you know "Wikipedia" on the internet? My devotee friend Vishnu Murti Prabhu in Radhadesh, Belgium has embarked on an immense project called "Vanipedia". This means compiling for humanity all the instructions of Srila Prabhupada so that the world at large can get easy access to them in the attractive Wikipedia format and which can be subsequently published in compilation books like "Namamrta" and others.Allready a beginning fraction of all possible pages are done and you can access them at "http://www.vanipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page". I would be very happy if you you would like to help Vishnu Murti in this project by composing pages. You will need to have "Skype", "Mozilla Firefox" and "Bhaktivedanta Folio." There is a tutorial how to do this and with Skype (free phone) you can be trained up by Vishnu Murti over the phone. You will find that just talking to him is very enlivening and exciting as he has made this project his life and soul.

I feel that you and other disciples are very suited to this as you are already highly educated in many areas and have a very keen and philosophical intellect. You also have an appetite for deepening your range of spiritual knowledge. You ask me many questions which only Srila Prabhupada can answer authoritatively. After the initial training you can "research" what Prabhupada has said about topics that really interest you and which have so far not been fully covered by other Vanipedia devotee servants. I am sure this service will open up to you the endless mercy of Srila Prabhupada as he sees you toiling to try to compile and preserve this vast heritage of transcendental knowledge coming through Srila Prabhupada from the Gaudiya Mahdva Sampradaya. We must give it to posterity but we do not know how long we have to complete this. Who knows how long the worldwide web will last? So there seems to be urgency. This study/service will naturally also help you realize and assimilate so many spiritual truths and give you confidence to preach to others on behalf of Srila Prabhupada. So this is a great opportunity for you and others. Hearing -sravanam- from the pure jagat guru devotee is so important.

jnane prayasam udapasya namanta eva
jivanti san-mukharitam bhavadiya-vartam
sthane sthitah sruti-gatam tanu-van-manobhir
ye prayaso 'jita jito 'py asi tais tri-lokyam

Lord Brahma said, "O my Lord Krsna, a devotee who abandons the path of
empiric philosophical speculation aimed at merging in the existence of the
Supreme and engages himself in hearing Your glories and activities from a
bona fide sadhu, or saint, and who lives an honest life in the occupational
engagement of his social life, can conquer Your sympathy and mercy even
though You are ajita, or unconquerable." (SB 10.14.3) That is the path of
the paramahamsas, which was personally followed by Lord Brahma and later
recommended by him for attaining perfect success in life.
SB 2.9.19

So please write to Vishnu Murti offering your assistance at " Visnu.Murti@pamho.net ". It is also good to be enrolled as a Wincom subscriber then you can have access to many conferences and devotees all over the world. On the internet you can Google "Pamho.net" and download the Wincom software. Maybe you pay the sub by card too. The subscription is about $20 or less per year. A devotee in Kolkata/Mayapur temple may also be taking subs for that.

> Do you feel I am worthy for second initiation ? <

More or less. Your enthusiasm is very pleasing to me.

> What are requirements for it - in addition? How early can I / we get my second initiation ? <

The thing now is to get a reccommendation from your local authority i.e. in Kolkatta. I think to do this you should sit for a 2nd initiation exam next Mayapur Festival. Please consult on this. When you are reccommended I will be glad to initiate you. The exam that HH Jayapataka Swami holds for his aspiring 2nd initiates should be good for you too . You can enquire from the concerned devotees in ISKCON Kolkatta or Mayapur the topics that exam requires you to be familiar with.

> What are your plans for Janmashtami?  When are you coming back to Patna? Can I be of any help? <

I will be arriving in Delhi 09.15 on August 11th and then flying up to Kathmandu on IC at about 13.30 hrs. My devotee friend Bh Sriraj in Delhi is arranging that ticket. I will celebrate Janmasthami in Nepal as usual and then tour in Butwal and Pokhara for a while afterwards. I should enter India and visit Patna around 31st August. Then my flight from Delhi/Dubai is at 1100hrs on 3rd September. So I could leave Patna 2nd evening by train perhaps?

> I plan to be in Patna from 14th to 16th August. Then again for a day on following Sunday 23rd. <

Unfortunately we will miss.
> Kindly let me know of your plan and also if I can be of any assistance.  <
Apart from assisting with the Vanipedia project maybe you can help me get
from Patna to Delhi on 2nd Sept?

Hoping that this finds you both well in Krishna consciousness,

Your Wellwishing,

Mahavishnu Swami
