For a period of 25 years HH
Mahavishnu Swami traveled and preached mainly in India,
Nepal and Bangladesh. Following in the footsteps of his
spiritual master, A.C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, he
traveled to almost "every town and village", preaching,
distributing books and assisting in the establishment and
running of ISKCON Temples.
Although his preaching has expanded to other areas too, he
still spends a part of the year in these regions. He is
the ISKCON regional secretary for Nepal, Bihar and Uttar
Pradesh. Here are some of the ISKCON temples he visits
every year: |

This beautiful temple in the
mountainous area of Kathmandu was established by HH
Mahavishnu Swami in 1976. This centre includes a temple,

HH Mahavishnu Swami has spent
many years establishing this project. In May 2007,
the foundation stone was laid for the new, larger
Radha Banke Bihari temple and Spiritual Center. The
temple is expected to be completed in three years at
the cost of Rs. 21 crore. HH Mahavishnu Swami
attends the Patna Ratha Yatra every year. This
festival in honour of Lord Jagannatha attracts
thousands of devotees and onlookers every year.

India - Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh |

The Krishna Balaram Mandir was
personally established by His Divine Grace A.C.
Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada on Rama Navami in 1975.
The temple is situated in Raman Reti, Vrindavan, U.P.,
where the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna displayed His
transcendental pastimes 5,000 years ago. Sri Krishna and
Balaram would herd Their cows at Raman Reti near the
Yamuna River.
HH Mahavishnu Swami often usually visits here around
March, as part of the Mayapur-Vrindavan Festival. |

India - Mayapur, West Bengal |

This is the official headquarters
of ISKCON, the place where Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu,
who is Krishna Himself, appeared about 500 years
ago. The temple was established by Srila Prabhupada
in 1972.
"There will be the main temple that will extend
upwards the full 30 stories, as well as different
levels depicted in doll tableaus, first the material
world, devi dhama; then mahesa dhama, then vaikuntha
dhama, and finally goloka vrindaban. Already a
competent engineering firm in Calcutta, which is the
only firm in India to use an IBM computer in its
calculations, has been contacted for making the
foundation. "It will not be difficult", assured
Srila Prabhupada. He further revealed, "I have named
this temple Sri Mayapur Candrodaya Mandir, the
Rising Moon of Mayapur. Now make it rise, bigger and
bigger until it becomes the full moon. And this
moonshine will be spread all over the world." -
Srila Prabhupada
The present building will soon make way for the new
larger "Temple of Vedic Planetarium" as envisioned
by Srila Prabhupada.

HH Mahavishnu Swami visits
Mayapur once a year, during the Gaura-Purnima
Festival. He takes part in the annual "Navadvipa
Mandal Parikrama", during which devotees visit all
the sacred places in the nine islands of Navadvipa,
as Lord Nityananda Himself had done, on Holy
Pilgrimage.
Walking through the holy land of Gauradesa creates
an indescribable spiritual bliss for seven days, as
the pilgrim becomes totally immersed in Gaura-katha.
Navadvipa-dhama is the home of the yuga-dharma,
hari-nama-sankirtana. It is also as merciful as the
most munificent incarnation, Sri Chaitanya
Mahaprabhu, who appeared in order to distribute love
of Godhead to all without consideration of caste and
creed, indeed, even to the sinners.
Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura instructed Srila
Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura: "Develop Sri
Navadvipa-dhama parikrama, for by its performance
all people of the world can be liberated."
